The Hut of Remembrance: The Fallen Heroes

You now enter The Hut of Remembrance, where silence speaks in echoes of valor. Here stands the statue of Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey, Param Vir Chakra, the Hero of Batalik Sector. His fearless charge into the storm of war is a legend carved in stone and memory. Lining the front wall are the regimental insignias of those who marched into fire stand proud—a tribute to 41 Infantry Units, 21 Artillery Units, 7 Engineer Units, and 15 Supporting Arms, whose courage turned the tide of war. Upon the black panels, 545 names gleam in golden letters—not just names, but warriors who stood between their motherland and its foes. Each name etched here in golden letters is a tale of sacrifice, resilience, and unshakable duty. The gallery also acknowledges the exceptional performance of military units during the war. For their bravery and determination, many were awarded distinguished honours, including Battle Honours, Theatre Honours, Honour Titles, and Unit Citations. In their honor, battlefields were renamed, laurels were bestowed, but above all, their legacy remains—a flame eternal, unyielding, undying.
